ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FOURTH GRADER?

By:  Gary Hardaway

Here’s a quiz to test your knowledge of current events. According unscientific but credible studies, most fourth graders can probably pass. Let’s proceed.

In the past two years two political movements have arisen to protest what’s going on in the country – the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street (and other cities). The two are very different, opposite, in fact. See if you can identify which words describe which group.

Personal hygiene:      Clean/tidy                      Filthy/repugnant

Public behavior:          Lawful/orderly               Violent/criminal

Political Speech:         Clear/reasoned             Incoherent/incomprehensible

Attitude:                     Courteous/respectful    Hateful/disdainful

Ideology:                    Conservative                 Socialist/Communist/Anarchist

Values:                       Judeo-Christian             Narcissistic/materialist

Agenda:                     Constitutionalist            Terrorist

You’ll find the answers on the nightly news, although your anchor person may try to obscure, distort, or explain away the obvious. However, “By their fruits you will know them.”

Which movement best represents you?
