"DID BILL MAHER EVOLVE FROM A CHICKEN? "

By: Tom Flannery

As much as we keep hearing that evolution is a "proven scientific fact," trying to convince any ardent Darwinian evolutionist to debate that statement remains a frustratingly futile task.

Darwinists by and large gave up debating the topic years ago, as more and more scientific evidence came out debunking the theory of evolution (and it still is just a theory).  So instead they make declarative statements like "evolution is a proven scientific fact," demean anyone who doubts it as being a simple-minded dolt, and petition our courts to make it illegal to teach or even mention any other theory in our schools.

One alternative theory is intelligent design, which is advocated by hundreds of scientists who contend based upon the observed scientific data that the world and all life forms had to be intelligently designed.  It seems the heavens really do declare the glory of God, as the Bible said all along.

Darwinists realize that if children in our schools are ever exposed to all of the scientific evidence disproving evolution, the game is up.  Their "evolution is a proven fact" charade will crumble like a house of cards and they will be exposed for who they truly are — radical humanists who refuse to even consider the possibility of the supernatural regardless of the facts.

Whereas true science follows the data, wherever they lead, in an uncompromising quest for truth, evolutionists view any and all discoveries through the narrow prism of their philosophical presupposition, and discard or distort any data that lead elsewhere.  They begin and end with the idea that there is no God, and that the supernatural therefore doesn't exist and cannot explain anything.  In short, they are "faith-based" scientists(their faith being secular humanism) whose religious fervor often far exceeds that of any right-wing fundamentalist.

The latest example of this phenomenon is comedian Bill Maher, who infamously likes to say, "Drugs are good and religion is bad."  He also likes to pontificate on evolution, mocking all who would dare question the theory and making it sound as though he is an expert of some sort on the subject.  He has said:  "Evolution is supported by the entire scientific community.  The reason there is no real debate is that intelligent design isn't real science."

Well, that explains it then, doesn't it?  Just make a flat statement dismissing the detractors as idiots and you don't ever have to subject yourself to the rigorous demands of scientific evidence to prove a scientific theory.  This is the "it's true because I say it is" argument, which evolutionists use all the time.

Quite tellingly, Christian author Ray Comfort has challenged Maher to a 40-minute debate on evolution, yet Maher — despite all his supposed expertise on the subject — isn't interested.

"I can scientifically prove intelligent design," Comfort insists. "Let's have 20 minutes each.  I present my case — I won't even mention 'faith' —  and then he can present his case for evolution.  I say that he doesn't have one.  He's bluffing."  He goes on to say that Maher will have to spend his 20 minutes telling jokes, "because that's all he has."

Comfort, author of the new book "Intelligent Design Versus Evolution," has even proposed holding the debate on Maher's own HBO show, in front of Maher's very friendly liberal audience.  But still it's a "no" from Maher.

"I am beginning to think that some men evolved from chickens," Comfort notes.  "That's the impression I get when it comes to evolutionists standing up for their convictions."

Regarding intelligent design, he continues:  "Hundreds of scientific scholars and researchers throughout the world support it — including scientists with the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the Smithsonian Institute, with doctoral degrees in biological sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics, medicine, computer science and related disciplines, from universities such as Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, and UCLA.  So Mr. Maher can't dismiss the idea as 'not scientific' just because he doesn't like the conclusion."

Well, in point of fact, that's exactly what Mr. Maher and the rest of the militant evolutionists have been doing for years.

Hey, Bill, here's a New Rule for you to add to your list — Put up or shut up!
